Stephanie Wilson-Carey

Just to say thank you for all your hard work on my behalf.

Pamela Bowell

May I take this opportunity to say thank you very much indeed for the excellent site you have created for me. You clearly understood what I wanted the site to convey and have combined design and functionality to total effect. It’s great!

I would also like to say that, as a client, it was so helpful to work with such a collaborative designer who listened to what I had to say and then had the skill to interpret it. That is a rare quality, I think.

The outcome of this is that you have given me a superb site and confidence in handling my CMS but also have left me in no doubt that you stand ready to offer help over stumbling blocks, if I need it.
Rest assured I will be recommending your services unequivocally.

Mary Hopper – Inyanga Counselling Consultancy

Creating my website was way less painful than I thought it would be. This was due to the expert workmanship from Mark. It is great to have the knowledge, but a completely different asset to have the ability and skill to walk with someone through the steps necessary to accomplish the task, in this case, my first website.  My limited experience in this area did not matter as Mark fielded all my questions, and didn’t even raise a smirk when some of them must have sounded really amateurish and bordering on daft! He was also very willing to find a way to explain things so that I understood. Mark has accomplished the task professionally, efficiently and within stated times. Much sooner than I expected I find myself  “google-ised” – all thanks to Mark!  He left me in no doubt at all that the creation of the site was in good hands and now the maintenance of it remains in the same trusty hands so all bodes well for the future. Thank you so much

Mark, Your assistance with setting up hosting and leading me by the nose in creating a new site was absolutely fantastic. Your expert help is very much appreciated – I would be delighted to recommend your services to anyone with limited coding knowledge who seeks a bespoke website solution. Many thanks!

I hired Mark to work with me on a new business development campaign that involved social marketing from website data using a blog and ezine. I found his technical skill to be in depth and he always came up with superb suggestions. He is helpful and very knowledgeable as well as trustworthy! I’d definitely use him again.

Kim Wessely – Director of Riche de fleurs

Wanting a local business to take on the project of relaunching Riche de fleurs’ website, Marks website stuck out miles from any other website designer with an unusual attention grabbing, very easy and clear website.

After contacting him via e-mail we had an immediate response with honest, realistic prices to work with our tight budget and quick deadline. Mark was very open to suggestions.

He understood clearly the criteria with the kind of updated, colourful yet breath taking website we needed. He understood and had many ideas to keep the site easy to navigate through and to keep the website modern and simple.

With his extensive knowledge and experience he was able to show us how to manage our website and show areas we could improve on.

After several meetings the final website was relaunched. It has been phenomenal the response we have received so soon after the completion of the new website with an already increased bookings of weddings and events.

I can’t thank Mark enough for all the effort he put into this project where it has been an absolute joy and pleasure to work with. Wishing him all the success he deserves.

Marketing in a Facebook world

With recent reports of Facebook being more popular then Google, we can begin to see the seeds of what has been predicted for some time now. With political parties now actively advertising on Facebook, is your online advertising budget still best served with Google, or has Google finally lost its Ad words Lustre. A free internet Google has always promoted a free internet for all users, and to support this came up with a way for advertisers to pay for user’s usage of its service. It is well documented that users are happy to give up some of their online soul, if it means the results are great applications, interfaces and information for free. With Google’s dominant position in the market place, it meant if there was a dollar to spend on advertising, nearly all went with Google. After all in marketing a bigger audience means better results. Advertise and…

Keyword use in H1 headline texts

Overview The <h1> html tag is another original HTML element which has a great impact on search engine optimisation. The specification suggests this tag should be used as a main heading for a page, but technically it can be used more than once. History of the <h1> tag The <h1> tag is one of the core HTML tags which have been within HTML pages since day one. The h1 tag is one of the six H (heading) tags and is designed to head paragraphs of text. The h1 tag is considered the most important and by default is rendered extra large to show its importance. The h1 tag is also considered to be a heading for the whole page and although technically it can be used more than once, can be seen as spam if used more than once by Google. Google places weight on any text in a heading…

The day the internet died

From just a few documents linked together, the internet has grown virus like, infecting most our lives. In most households, a day is not complete without checking the news, watching videos or playing online games. From these humble beginnings, the internet brought the promise of free access for all. This universal phrase has not only transformed many lives but has created many businesses and services along the way. Google, the Microsoft of the internet, is an amazing example, there’s nothing you can’t get for free from Google and in the process magically making money out of ‘free’. So when did the internet die?  Ironically the day Google was created. Google understood how to really make money out of the internet, and in fact they still do. They created an ‘engine’ that would list everything, for free. And with that one single act ensured Google would be the one source of…
